John T. Lewis (John) began working with Cooley Enterprises, LLC in 2023, bringing extensive leadership experience in strategic planning, business development, operations, and exploration in both domestic and international arenas.  He has broad general management expertise and a consistent record of creative solutions, delivery of positive results, and development of personnel.

 John served as the Sr. Vice President of Corporate Development for Noble Energy, Inc. until his retirement in 2020.  In this role he was responsible for business development (acquisitions, divestitures, and mergers), strategic planning, worldwide exploration, and was the reserve officer for the company.  He also served as the CEO and Chairman of the Board of CONE Midstream from its formation in 2014 until Noble’s divestment of its interest in 2018.  Prior to his role in Corporate Development, John held various executive, management, engineering, and operations roles at Noble as well as BP, Vastar Resources, and Arco Oil and Gas Company. 

 John is active in his community, serving as the Chairman of the Board of Katy Responds, a non-profit organization that repairs and refurbishes the homes of financially challenged families in the West Houston, Katy, and surrounding smaller communities.  He is also active in his church and volunteers with other organizations.
